Pi Chalking (September-October 2004, JPEG, 304 KB)

Concept: Alteration of a public space: repeatedly writing the first 100 digits of pi (from memory) in chalk.

Execution: Dozens of chalked pi sequences scattered over an area of twelve blocks, carried out over the course of two months.

 
 

 

 

 

 


Stripped Kiosk (November 2005, JPEG, 120 KB)

Concept: Public language intervention: removal of all materials from an advertising kiosk.

Execution: I arrived at 2:00 a.m. and collected all posters in a garbage bag. The process took roughly fifty minutes.
